Information
This free e-newsletter is borne out of a passion for proper health education to be made freely available to everyone (and don’t worry, your email address will never be given to anyone else – it remains confidential). I am 100% dedicated to finding and reporting the truth on topics that matter and I am also 100% independent, which means I take no money from companies or products I may write about, and I cannot be bought off by suppliers. It is also not my intention to sell you anything in this newsletter and I promote what I believe to be the absolute truth at all times. Sometimes people heavily promote a particular brand of water filter, cleaning agent, health product or equipment for monetary gain, free advertising or some exposure as a result of their “endorsement”. I have never done this, nor will I ever do so. It is my absolute joy and pleasure to provide scientific information in this newsletter – for free! Hope you enjoy it!
DISCLAIMER: The information contained in this Newsletter was prepared from medical and scientific sources which are referenced and are believed to be accurate and reliable. Readers are strongly advised to seek the advice of their personal health care professional before proceeding with any changes in any health care programme. Sally Ann Creed | February 2007 General Health Newsletter Welcome to those of you who have just joined my newsletter mailing list - I've had an inor-dinate amount of new people join this month, which is really great. I do another news letter too - the Subscriber's E-Magazine - see some of the contents in this month's E-Magazine in the bar under the photo to your left (in magazine format, and delivered to your inbox in PDF, pictures etc). You can subscribe on my website, which also gives you free access to a Member's Area packed with more information. The No Sweat e-Nuts and Bolts Course is under way - and if you really want to join it - you can still do so on my website.
It's a very "fishy" newsletter this
month, as there is so much coming out about fish oil in the news, medical
journals and writings by experts you could literally swim in the
information. So if you are unconvinced, I hope this will help to convince
you. IN THE NEWS The Flaxseed Oil 'Mistake' For the longest time I’ve promoted fish oil as the only real source of omega-3 worth talking about, backed by decades of scientific evidence of its benefits – so I was pleased to find a fascinating article on the Budwig Diet Revision (sent to me by a reader), because I’ve always thought flaxseed oil and cottage cheese was a foolish combination anyway. They're revised this to be fish oil and whey isolate - exactly what it should have been to begin with. Whey isolate has been something I’ve seen do wonders for literally hundreds of people – so this revision is most welcome, and sensible. With all the negative press about flaxseed oil, fish oil has taken its rightful place globally as the only real omega-3 to ingest by those who truly understand what health is all about (just look at all the new brands on the market, and all the new research.) I giggled when I noticed Udo Erasmus (who it seems finally realises the benefits of fish oil) has come up with an algae source of DHA, albeit inferior to fish oil, and in the teeniest amount. This indicates to me that he is admitting the benefits of DHA not found in, nor converted from, plant oils, and plainly realizing flaxseed oil and plant oils just don’t do the job - DHA is needed for optimum health. Pity it's not the real deal from fish, but it's a start. Read this whole article, it's really interesting - Click here. McDonald's is closing its outlet in in Tavistock, Devon - a town known for quality food and healthy, local produce - it simply wasn't being used enough by locals. Read more...
Best-selling diet book
author and healthy heart advocate Dean Ornish says 10
years ago he didn't recommend vitamin E, but since the evidence of its
benefits has mounted, he recommends it to everyone. "The risks are so
negligible, the costs are so small and the potential benefits are so
great, it makes a lot of sense to consider taking them," says Ornish, who
takes 400 IU daily. Fast Facts - Mageiricophobia is the fear of having to cook (I've suffered from this for years) - 70% of the body's immune system is located within the gastrointestinal tract
Till next month, God bless you all!
