Important Information
This free e-newsletter is borne out of a
passion for proper health education to be made freely available to
everyone (and don’t worry, your email address will never be given to
anyone else – it remains confidential). I am 100% dedicated to finding
and reporting the truth on topics that matter and I am also
100% independent, which means I take no
money from companies or products I may write about, and I cannot be
bought off by suppliers. It is also not my intention to sell you
anything in this newsletter and I promote what I believe to be the
absolute truth at all times. Sometimes people heavily promote a
particular brand of water filter, cleaning agent, health product or
equipment for monetary gain, free advertising or some exposure as a
result of their “endorsement”. I have never done this, nor will I ever
do so. It is my absolute joy and pleasure to provide scientific
information in this newsletter – for free! Hope you enjoy it!

You Need More Sun if you’re Over the Age
of 50
It’s true - we actually do need some sun
on our skins – and a new study has found
that we need even more of it as we get
older. Sunshine is the very best source
of vitamin D, and it seems our natural
levels fall as we get older, possibly
because of the ageing process and also
because we don’t go outside quite so
often due to the hectic lives so many of
us now live.
Low levels of vitamin D can cause a
condition known as metabolic syndrome, a
combination of disorders that increases
the risk for heart disease and diabetes.
A recent study of 3,262 people aged
between 50 and 70 years found that 94%
had low vitamin D levels, and 42% had
metabolic syndrome. Study team leader
Dr Oscar Franco from Warwick Medical
School says vitamin D deficiency could
be a global health problem. Certainly
it’s what most of the studies coming out
today are saying. See more in the E-Mag
on this.

Save Your Breath!
We should all be eating onions
and garlic every day for good
health. But unfortunately it
can be quite antisocial unless
everyone around you is doing the
same. Here are some tricks to
disguise your healthy habits: |
-
Bite on a lemon
– in restaurants if you
don’t have one on the side
of your plate, ask for a
glass of water with a lemon
wedge, and discreetly bite
it when you get a chance.
-
Eat your garnish -
parsley has great breath
freshening oils and
‘deodorising’ chlorophyll.
-
Suck a cinnamon stick
- these really are fantastic
to take in your bag with you
if all else fails. As an
added bonus, they have an
essential oil that kills a
nasty type of oral bacteria
that commonly breeds in the
mouth. It will also lower
your blood sugar from the
meal.
These natural aids should help
you stay away from those nasty
peppermints or gum at the end of
a meal in the attempt to ‘be
nice to be near’. SO many dirty
‘fingers’ touch those sweets…
ugh. |

Spiritual Health:
There is so much wisdom to be found in
the book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible –
here’s one Scripture I love from
Proverbs 19:8a:
He who acquires wisdom loves his own
soul…
