Important Information
This free e-newsletter is borne out of a
passion for proper health education to be made freely available to
everyone (and don’t worry, your email address will never be given to
anyone else – it remains confidential). I am 100% dedicated to finding
and reporting the truth on topics that matter and I am also
100% independent, which means I take no
money from companies or products I may write about, and I cannot be
bought off by suppliers. It is also not my intention to sell you
anything in this newsletter and I promote what I believe to be the
absolute truth at all times. Sometimes people heavily promote a
particular brand of water filter, cleaning agent, health product or
equipment for monetary gain, free advertising or some exposure as a
result of their “endorsement”. I have never done this, nor will I ever
do so. It is my absolute joy and pleasure to provide scientific
information in this newsletter – for free! Hope you enjoy it!

Hot
Flushes & Night Sweats May Mean a Longer
Life
Just
when we thought there was no good news
about menopause, a study has come out
which shows that reasonably healthy
menopausal women who experience hot
flushes and night sweats, have a 30%
lower risk of dying over 20 years
than women who don’t experience these
classic menopausal symptoms.
It’s
estimated that 50% of menopausal women
suffer from hot flushes and night
sweats, but in this study of
predominantly upper middle-class white
women from the Rancho Bernardo study,
73% reported hot flushes and of those,
39% also had night sweats. Following
these women up 11.5 years later - those
who had both hot flushes and
night sweats had almost a 30% lower risk
of dying. Amazingly this lower risk held
true even if the women were overweight,
didn’t exercise, smoked, or were past or
present users of conventional hormone
replacement therapy.
It’s not
clear why this is the case, but has been
postulated that this may be a sort of
natural detoxification. As the skin is
our largest organ of detoxification and
sweating is one of the best ways to
detoxify – sweating releases fat-soluble
toxins, which are typically found in fat
cells eventually causing the kinds of
DNA damage that can lead to cancer. If
night sweats are a form of
detoxification, menopausal women may
want to consider embracing hot flushes
and night sweats, at least for a few
months, before resorting to even
bioidentical hormones.

Q & A: New Developments in
Alopecia
Areata
Q:
Have there
been any new developments in
treating Alopecia Areata as my
adult son has a severe case and
is now losing his eyelashes and
eyebrows?
A:
There is some evidence that
topically applying lavender oil
in combination with the
essential oils from thyme,
rosemary, and cedar wood
improves hair growth after 7
months of treatment. Although
there is preliminary evidence
that suggests zinc in
combination with biotin might be
helpful for alopecia areata,
most studies indicate that zinc
is not effective for alopecia
areata. Make sure that you eat
enough proper animal protein
too, as hair loss is frequently
a result of protein deficiency. |

Restore your
Hair Colour Naturally - With Supplements
Did you know you could avoid grey hair –
at least for a while? Sometimes you can
even reverse your hair colour from grey
back to the colour it was. I have
actually seen this happen. The
combination that some studies have
reported effective is:
·
100mg of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)
·
200mg of PABA
·
50g of brewer's yeast
You won’t see an overnight result, and
it may not restore your hair 100% to its
original colour but it should help
restore some colour over the course of a
couple of months. This doesn't impart a
lasting effect, and the grey will return
if you discontinue taking the
supplements. |

Let go of any anger you have towards
another because of the wrong they've
done you - and not just that, but
forgive them completely. We must
forgive, because we so badly need
forgiveness ourselves. When you know the
forgiveness of God in your own life, you
are able to forgive others. This says
it all: |

forgiving one another even as God in Christ
forgave you
